A hateful man who liked to bully the weak ones. He often picked especially on Koruri and liked to peek on the girls when they were naked in the shower.

Unami used to work as a teacher for the Summer A candidates in their secret training camp. Once, on a field trip, he bullied Koruri so much that Ango got furious and attacked his teacher. To punish Ango for that, Unami had him thrown into the Red Chamber, the device which the dead bodies of animals and the killed Summer A candidates were put in to slowly turn into fertilizer. It was inside there that Ango realized that his friend Nobara had been murdered and minced.
During the final test, Unami mocked Koruri about Nobara's death and her futile attempt to kill him. He then caught Koruri to make sure she didn't die since she was the last remaining member of the Wind Class.
Development throughout the story []
(starting with the first appearance in the New World)
Since the organizators of the project 7 Seeds realized that the test had been a bit too much for the Summer A candidates, they decided to send an adult along with them to the future as their guide. Because Kaname refused, Unami decided to fill in that spot.
After their revival in chapter 50 (Going Home) however, he became the target of revenge by Summer group A and was killed by all members aside from Ban who did not participate but didn't attempt to stop his group either.
